FAQ

Is Sword a good first weapon in the ReBlade demo?
Official FAQ recommends Shield Axe for beginners, but IGN previews describe Sword as the balanced middle option if you want standard reach and timing practice.
Does Sword have easier parries than other demo weapons?
July 2026 hands-on reports wider parry timing on blade/sword-type weapons. October demo tuning may differ—test in training fights.
What is Gleaming Stance on Sword?
In developer-sponsored challenge footage, Gleaming Stance is a parry follow-up (repost) that spends action points; a perfect parry refunds AP. Not a confirmed name in Steam text.
How many Mod slots does Sword get?
Higher rarity adds Mod slots per IGN China July report. Challenge footage once showed a yellow-tier sword at 13 damage with five Mod slots—single run, not a universal table.
Can Sword skills be moved to another blade?
Previews report swapping or merging upgrades and skills among same-type weapons when transfer icons flash white.
What Sword data is still unknown?
Full skill list, exact frame data, every rarity breakpoint, and chip synergies are not verified in official text for v0.4.44.

What is the Sword’s role in the demo?

Sword is the standard blade option among the demo’s three weapons. IGN’s English preview describes it as balanced speed and power. IGN China’s July build write-up calls the long-blade kit straightforward in attack and defense, with large, rhythmic slash skills that reward steady tempo rather than constant dashing.

Official Demo FAQ still steers brand-new players toward Shield Axe, so treat Sword as the neutral training weapon: strong default if you want to learn parry and combat basics without the heavier defend rules reported on axe/shield kits.

How does Sword interact with parrying?

July 2026 Bilibili World hands-on (4Gamer-family reporting) states blade weapons get wider parry timing than other families. That matches Sword’s “balanced” label in previews: you still press defend on impact, but the forgiving window helps learn perfect parries that remove shield icons on elites and Bosses.

Red-glow attacks still cannot be parried; dodge them like every other weapon. For projectile-heavy rooms, Sword can reflect bullets and beams like other weapons in IGN coverage. Goblin-like spit attacks still need the alternate counter shown in challenge footage, not a basic parry.

October demo v0.4.44 may tune windows again; verify feel against your selected difficulty.

What skills are confirmed for Sword?

Public sources do not publish a complete Sword skill tree for v0.4.44. One documented example comes from Amazing Chest’s developer-sponsored parry challenge (community challenge video, not official patch notes):

  • Gleaming Stance — described as entering a stance after parries to perform a counter repost, spending action points (AP). A perfect parry refunds AP in that footage.

Use Gleaming Stance as proof Sword has parry-linked follow-ups, not as proof it is your first unlocked skill or its exact input on PC.

Other preview statements apply to all demo weapons: two active skills (Boomstick), element burst when bottom-bar meter fills, and finishers after enemies stagger from parries.

How do Mod slots and rarity work on Sword?

IGN China’s July preview links higher weapon rarity to more Mod slots. Challenge footage includes a single observation of a yellow-tier sword showing weapon damage 10→13 after an upgrade and five Mod slots on that run. That is one sponsored run, not a verified drop table for every seed.

Upgrade flow matches other weapons:

  • Spend black copper on weapon and Mod upgrades; recycle old blades for copper (challenge footage).
  • Transfer or merge enhancements when the UI icon flashes white (Boomstick preview).
  • Pair monocrystalline silicon chip upgrades from the beginner guide when you commit to keeping a Sword drop.

Compare alternatives on the demo weapons overview before investing silicon.

Who should pick Sword, and what pairs well?

Pick Sword if you want mid-range tempo, parry practice (reported blade leniency in July hands-on), and slash skills that feel readable in IGN China’s description. Skip forcing Sword if Official FAQ’s Shield Axe recommendation already feels better on controller—comfort beats theoretical balance.

Reported pairings (high level only):

  • Parry-heavy chips and augments that reward perfect timing, since Sword feeds stagger windows described in IGN China coverage.
  • Boss damage chips (+10% Boss damage appears in challenge footage) once you plan to fight telegraphed Bosses such as The Black (name as used in preview and challenge video—see The Black).

Avoid claiming specific augments until you read them in your run; augments are not fully cataloged here.

What is still unverified for Sword?

Do not treat these as facts until Steam text or your own run confirms them:

  • Full skill list and unlock order for demo Sword
  • Exact parry frames per difficulty patch
  • Complete rarity ladder and Mod slot counts for every color tier
  • Whether July blade parry leniency matches v0.4.44 exactly
  • DPS comparisons versus Twin Blades or Shield Axe (we do not rank weapons)

When data appears in official patch notes, this page should be updated with citations.
